Taken as a three-credit course, Hawk Communications provides the opportunity for students to gain experience in public relations, community relations, media relations, social media, advertising, content creation, brainstorming, writing, event planning, event management, and much more!
Hawk Communications also gives students the opportunity to develop their soft skills, including teamwork, leadership, time management, problem solving, client and vendor management and the ability to grow from constructive feedback.
In addition to his extensive teaching experience, Keith Green’s exciting career has included high-profile positions in the NBA for the Philadelphia 76ers, in the NASCAR field as the public relations director for two racetracks, at award-winning Synergy Events and as a Vice President at Guinness World Records.
Looking for real-world experience similar to an internship right here on campus? Then join Hawk Communications, a student-led strategic communication agency that works with internal departments/programs at Montclair State University and area businesses and nonprofits. Taken as a course, working at the agency is a great resume builder and provides students the opportunity to gain practical strategic communication experience.
Hawk Communications provides students the steps necessary to gain practical experience, expand their resumes, build their networks and sharpen their skills. All semester, students will have exciting opportunities to “learn on the job” right here on campus.
